Fred Morsheimer is "The Creative CIO", a column he authors for Where It's @'s website at www.MultiChannelRetailing.com and it's weekly NewsLetter. He consults in the Retail IT space and has presented at Conferences such as the NRF on leading technical issues since 1989. He has been quoted on technical issues in ComputerWorld, InformationWeek, RT Magazine, NetworkWorld and others.
Fred experience includes 13 years as a CIO for Brookstone, Trader Joe's and Contempo Casuals and 19 years in retail IT. He began his IT career with the IS Division of Associated Dry Goods. He was the founding and twice Chairman of Retex (The Retail Technology Consortium) and has served as a member of the IT Counsel of the NRF.
Fred holds two masters degrees: An MBA with an MIS major and honors from The State University of NY at Albany and an MA in Management from Claremont Graduate University, where he was inducted into the inaugural class of the Alumni Hall of Fame. Fred and his wife Linda reside in Amherst NH. His oldest daughter, Megan, is a senior at Duke University and the youngest, Erin, is a HS senior who will attend Bucknell University next fall.
